- How do Complete Relief® Softgels work?
- The Complete Relief ingredients act directly on the smooth muscle in the walls of the small and large bowel which causes them to relax.
The ingredients also reduce the surface tension of gas bubbles which may have formed on the sensitive gut wall.
- What is a "softgel"?
- Complete Relief® softgels are made of a controlled-release coated soft gelatin that resists the acid environment of the stomach. After passing intact into the small intestine, the softgel disintegrates and the ingredients are released.
- What is a "controlled-release" coating?
- A controlled-release coating is a barrier applied to oral medication that controls the location in the digestive system where the ingredients are absorbed. "Controlled-release" refers to the delivery of ingredients into the small intestine; therefore, controlled-release coatings prevent the release of medication before it reaches the small intestine.
- How many softgels are in a retail package?
- Complete Relief® softgels come 84 to a carton in seven "Blister Pak" cards of 12 each. This is a 28 day supply following the recommended dosage.
- What is a "Blister Pak" and why is it used?
- Each Complete Relief® softgel is individually packaged in a "container closure", commonly called a "Blister Pak", to maintain the potency of the ingredients and to extend the stability of the product.
Because some of the ingredients are volatile oils which evaporate upon exposure to air or to light, individual softgel packaging is important.
