- How is FORTEX®; different than topical pain relieving creams and gels?
- FORTEX is a liquid and has the highest concentration of its active ingredient (40% methyl salicylate)
within a specially formulated peanut oil base (high in essential fatty acids). Therefore, more medicine
is absorbed faster and deeper to where it hurts. The usual result is faster and more powerful pain relief
with FORTEX.

- Can I use FORTEX with my oral pain reliever, such as acetaminophen (Tylenol®), ibuprofen (Advil®),

- Yes, FORTEX has been designed to be used alone, or with other arthritis or pain medications.
Using FORTEX with oral medications provides a dual mode of action...FORTEX relieves
pain at the site of the pain, while the oral medication moves throughout the body for the relief.
- When FORTEXis used in addition to oral pain relievers, the combination provides fast and additional pain relief.
Since FORTEX is a liquid topical which absorbs rapidly and pain relief is usually experienced
before oral pain relievers take effect.
- FORTEX has no known drug interactions, contraindications, or systemic
side effects. FORTEX will not interfere with your oral medications.
- Do I have to get a Doctors' prescription to obtain FORTEX?
- No, FORTEX is available over-the-counter and does not require a Doctor's prescription.
Despite this, it is always advisable that you let your Doctor know that you are using FORTEX as
with all other medications you take.

- Yes, FORTEX has a strong and refreshing wintergreen scent. Since it is absorbed very
rapidly, the scent dissipates quickly.
